TAOD Pupil Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time. Any changes to these terms will take effect immediately and shall be notified to you.
Equality
• All instructors abide by equal opportunities policy & will not discriminate against Race, Colour, Creed, Gender or Sexual Orientation etc.
Our Instructors
• The instructor will present themselves in a professional manner and of smart appearance.
• The instructor will provide the pupil with a dual controlled car in a clean, tidy and roadworthy condition
• The school has a strict no smoking policy
Lessons
You and Your instructor are responsible for agreeing all matters relating to timing, location and duration of individual lessons. You must notify Your instructor of any matters that affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example, but not limited to, any lack or loss of a valid UK provisional driving license or if you have been prescribed any medication from your doctor that could affect your driving. It is the learner’s responsibility to provide a valid license to drive, before the commencement of your lesson. A copy of your photocard driving license will be retained by the instructor for the duration of your lessons.
Cancellations / Amendments
If you do not give 48 hours notice of cancellation/amendment You will be charged for the lesson(s) concerned in full. If you arrive for your lesson and are in any way suspected to be under the influence of drink or drugs your lesson will be cancelled and you will be charged for the lesson(s) concerned in full. In the event of you having booked your driving test, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) requires you to give 3 clear working days to cancel your test. This may mean that you may lose your DVSA test fee if your instructor says you’re not ready for your test within these three-day notice period.
Payment and Lesson Bookings
• You must pay for any tuition at least 48 hours before the start of your lesson.
• All Block Bookings must be paid for in advance to receive the reduced rate.
• Paid lessons are non transferable for Single or Block Bookings
• Pre-paid Block Bookings are valid for 6 months from purchase and 6 months from the 1st lesson taking place if this time has expired no refund will be offered
Practical Test
We reserve the right to withdraw the car for test without notice, should the pupil not be up to test standard.
Responsibility
We cannot be held responsible for postponements of lessons due to illness or mechanical breakdown but will endeavour to find a replacement vehicle as soon as possible, nor for any driving test postponed by DVSA.
Refund Policy
• You are entitled to cancel Your prepaid tuition at any time (for the provisions relating to the cancellation of individual lessons please see
the “Cancellation of Lessons” above).
• Where it is possible to do so, We will refund You using the same method You used to pay for Your lessons when You made the payment. If for any reason We are unable to do this, We reserve the right to refund You by any other method We deem appropriate. Refunds may take up to 10 working days to reach You or Your account.
• You must pay for any tuition at least 48 hours before the start of your lesson.
• Refund for Block Bookings will be calculated on the number of lesson You have taken (without the discount included)
• If You have paid Your instructor for the tuition You wish to cancel Your instructor will refund you adhering to the principles as set out
above. Any money exchanged is between You and Your instructor and not TAOD
If you are under 18 your parent will be responsible for signing the terms and conditions on your behalf
